 A lot of deciding went into this photo. I scanned through my images from the year, and picked out about a dozen I liked for this challenge. For there I short listed it down to about 5, and then 3. I weighed the pros/cons of each, and picked a completely different photo than this!

Then I re-edited this shot. I liked the way this photo was composed, but I didn't really like the plain editing I had done. So I pulled up Topaz Adjust 5 and got to work. I actually started with a preset I created for my Hell's Apartment photo. I liked the dreamy and warmth, but toned it down quite a bit. As I was doing this, something special happened to this photo, and it became an instant favorite. The other photo as usurped by this one.

Post Processing:
* White balance
* Increase exposure
* Increase black point
* Increase definition
* Decrease saturation with higher vibrancy
* Levels
* Topaz Adjust 5
* Increase black point
* Decrease saturation with higher vibrancy again
* Decrease orange saturation
* Export as TIFF
* Resize
* Sharpen Edges
* Save as JPEG

Wow, a top 10 in an art challenge. I never imagined that possible! Thank you all for the votes, and especially the comments.. This shot grabbed many more comments than I expected. I'm so happy wi this :)

Good on you Mike, your 'artier' than you thought. I really liked this, you did a wonderful job with the PP, so very unique.

Great detail and dof. Lovely scene. The cars on the left are a bit distracting (just my opinion). Nice bw tones. (voted earlier)

Nice job on the tones. If anything I might had cropped tighter on the left side to get rid of the cars. Nice contrast without clipping the blacks.
