 I wanted this image to evoke a sense of the velvety/satiny essence of these rose petals, in the spirit of Alfred Stieglitz, who said, "In photography there is a reality so subtle that it becomes more real than reality." This was a simple setup consisting of window light and a white mat board reflector. Processing in Photoshop involved cropping, cloning out slight imperfections, and adjustments to levels and curves.

Indeed. Soft and flowing and fragrant. Lovely gentle color. Triangular comp, stable and sturdy on the bottom, light on the top. Thanks for the lessons.
