Greetings from the Critique Club!

Interesting shot of a shutter, which we are all familiar with. I *got* what you're trying to do here as I've done similar work, and gave you a 7 for the effort.

However, the blue/orange lines of chromatic aberration are caused by the light and possibly the lens you used, too, detracts from what should be clean, sharp lines. It looks like you were set up too close, within the camera's minimum focusing distance. That and the angle makes for a tough way to get a clean shot, esp a macro of the subject. Generally you have to ensure that both your lens and subject are on precisely the same plane. Try to take what you're learned and reshoot, it never hurts to see what will give you the results you like but from a different angle.

Feel free to PM me,

Susan

Different shot. Seems to be a little OOF to me. And the bright light shining through is kinda hard on the eyes... but I'm looking forward to finding out what it is.

This photo is extremely interesting. I love the set up of the shot. A title of "Life through a lens" or something like that would have made this stand out.
