 My wife thought of this idea when she saw the title in a list of palindromes. I took this at a cemetery down the road and I liked it in black and white. Hope you do too.

Greetings from the Critique Club!

This is a very well done shot, I gave you a 7 in voting. I like the loneliness implied here and it's eerie that the date is one day before my birthday, November 27th.

There is a great range of tones here; there is also a few cluttery items behind the cross that are a bit distracting. Don't know if you could have moved them or not, but they do draw the eye away a bit. The vignetting at the corners might not suit all tastes either. The comp plays very safe with its centredness - shooting more from the ground up might have made for a more impactful image. Don't be afraid to hunker down and shoot up at a subject, especially one like this.

Overall a pleasing image, sorry that it didn't do better. But as has been suggested, it could have easily been entered in All Alone, too.

I like this. It's different, it's dark, it's almost lonely. Would have done well in the All Alone challenge. Great vignette, lovely black and white. Nice detail. I do think the foreground is a little too focused (where the sticks at the bottom are)... but other than that, very nicely done.
