I like the detail in the foreground, but this is the focal point. I think it would have been better if you made the sunrise the focal point.

I applaud your attempt to create a bokeh effect with the sunrise, but your subject isn't quite strong enough IMO, and your exposure is a bit dark overall. Perhaps if you'd gotten a little closer the shells to bring out their interesting detail.

For me this composition doesn't work. In the B&W the periwinkle doesn't really stand out enough and my eye goes to the light reflection of the sun rather than the focused front and even before it goes to your supposed focus point it then goes to the bridge ... Just seems too much IMO. I like the idea of having something small in the forgroound to focus on, juast think that then the background should have been different.

How gorgeous, I love the little shells, but then again I love the blurred bridge as well.
