I broke my leg on Saturday, but that didn't stop me from hopping around my parents house, collecting these candle houses that my mother collected.

I think they are really really cool, but the camera didn't show the candle glow nearly as well as they look in real life

During Challenge: Surprised with how low this is scoring. I thought it was a decent quality photograph and I for one really like this house collection. I think they are quaint.

I feel with you your disappointment at the score for this. I think the collection is charming and the quality of the photo is very good. It was in my top 2 or 3.
All the best with your recovery.

That is rather neat. Does the smoke come out of the chimneys too?

This challenge really has two parts to it - how interesting the collection is, and how well it has been photographed. This lovely shot does well in both departments. 9

I've never seen anything like this. I think that if you had shot in low lighting, to capture the essence of the candle's glow, it would have looked really cool. However, being said, I do not know the camera settings required to do this (as I have yet to learn this).

I would have liked this one a little more had you shot it at eye level - to give it more of a "village" feeling. The colors of each piece come through nicely,

I hope there are tiny smoke alarms in them. :P
