 Thanks to everyone that voted and commented.

I was at the beach taking some surfing shots and noticed these two playing in the waves. Every time a wave would approach, the dad would hold the child facing the wave and just before it reached them, he would lift him up and run from the wave. The boy would scream out with laugther. It was so adorable to watch.

I agree with Anita's post challenge comment. I think the two of them moving out of frame creates an interesting and unexpected dynamic. I like this shot a lot. Probably one of my favorite candids I've taken in awhile.

I don't for the life of me know why it's such a big deal for someone to get so hung up about someone running out of a frame, I mean if a photo looks good even though the photographer hasn't kept the so called 'photography rules', what's the big deal. I think this was way better than half the photos in the top 10.

I like the colors and the concept of a dad rescuing his boy from the waves. But why let him run out of the frame to nowhere?

Gorgeous shot! I love the rolling waves, the colors, and the father and son in the bottom corner add that perfect detail. This would be a great shot even if it wasn't for the corner's challenge! Nicely executed!
