Shot inside my woodshed. The bg is in fact the woodshed door, which is thankfully very lightweight and easy to move around! All the props are sitting on the bridesmaid's dress that I wore at my sister's wedding; the tall glass thingy is filled with apple juice, just to give it that nice golden glow. The flowers are forsythia and used the horse statuette and twine to give it more of a country feel. The lemons represent both a love of food and I suppose bitterness, too, but at least it comes in a pretty colour :-) Behind the lemons is a pomelo to help round out the comp. The candy eggs are a last-minute addition, I liked the way the drew the eye down to the fabric.
Camera on tripod, used mirror lockup and ambient light. Tried to use some flash for fill but had no luck so just got a longer exposure going.
pp: Altered RAW, crop, dodge and burn, clone out minor elements, brightness/contrast, vibrance/saturation, deep yellow filter, resize, sharpen, save for web. |
