I'm very pleased with this result considering this was a last minute entry. I figured on Friday I could use some Still Life experience so I bought some life to go in one. I got busy with other things on the weekend and when Sunday afternoon rolled around I saw those flowers wilting already and felt guilty about wasting what I bought. So I quickly set this up and skipped the speed lights I had planned to to use with yellow gels and went with natural light to save time. I was relatively pleased with the initial results and couldn't tweak things further as the sunlight was starting to fade.
Simple setup with uncovered window to the right, translucent blind window right rear, and reflector disk with silver/gold striations on the left.

I'd say that this is my favorite shot - maybe because it's natural light or just because of the classic still life...

Something I suck at and will never try a still life setup like this. Lighting really carries this image with the combination of fruits with flowers a winner. Congrats on the HM. You make me want to try it out myself...eating the fruit i mean - not shooting them :)

Like the top half better than the bottom- I think it's the cropping of the table. Pretty colours & nice textured wall.

Wonderful capture. It's just some dark spot in one of the fruit(underneath banana)doesn't look fresh. It's a very good entry, anyway.
