 Main photo is of my 12 year old granddaughter, Brooke, dressed in a 20+ year old deb dress which belonged to my daughter. She did her modelling/acting at the local cemetery. (Good sport, because it was cold.)
Although this old and dilapidated grave seemed ideal for what I wanted at first, it dawned on me later that a mourning bride would be grieving over a fresh one - hence the title, her immortality explains the passage of time.

Used clone tool and patch tool to remove a distant tombstone poking up from her shoulder/head.

Woohoo! A PB for this, and it was a fun day.

Thank you DPCers for all the nice comments and generous votes. I had quite a number of possibilities from this shoot and I don't know how many versions I did of this shot. I put one in and replaced it because I didn't know if a Filter Forge border would have been legal. Then I did other versions and was still fiddling with 'the best one' when rollover beat me.

Excellent! I can't see the detail of the writing on the gravestone, but it certainly shows its age. I think the most important thing in this for me is that the grave cover seems to have been damaged.

Being as the Corpse Bride is one of my favorites of all times, my imagination had all kinds of fun with this little 800 pixel wide story.
