You're not allowed to enter shots from the 1960s. For one thing, you were not around then. For another, it violates that whole date rule thing. I should turn you in....

I'm going through the entries, stopping at those images I feel have had the benefit of an unconventional eye and dwelling a little longer to try to see and appreciate what you saw. This is one of those images.

Positives: I remember once hearing a summary review of the book 'The Road' as being 'bleakly beautiful' - and that's what we have here. I wonder if it was cold and windy - it looks it. There is the right amount of everything here - light, movement, contrast, sharpness, detail - all so well balanced.

Critical stuff: Nothing

Overall: Landscapes/seascapes (especially milky water ones) don't usually do it for me - but this one is very different and definitely pushes my buttons.

I wonder if this is Ben's entry...?
