Well I just had to....Bought the nip of Jack Daniels and some string beans. I had no idea what to use for a background. I found two planters a block or so from where I work and there leaves were OK and on the side walk. I sat on the sidewalk and placed the stalks of the beans over the leaf so they hung by themselves and placed the nip of Jack next to them. Shot several versions and this is the A shot of the last bracket I shot. In it I placed a found leaf under the bottle of Jack to cover up the brick sidewalk. Thinking about this before I got home to process, I thought "Eh stupid! What about the giant?" and thought I should have had the bottom of my shoe in the shot. Well it was too late and dark to re-shoot so I added that element in the processing by selecting a shape, which you may take as the shadow of either the giant's foot or head, and burning that area. Then I thought "Eh, Stupid! What about the gold egg!". The leaf approximated the shape of an egg so it was selected and colored gold and a lense flare added. The edges of the leaf were a little jagged in spots, so they were smooth out by cloning and blurring around the edge of the egg. The rest prior was: Open, Rotate, Crop, Auto Levels, Layer adjustments for Brightness/Contrast and Hue/Sat, USM. After the shadow burning and leaf to egg changes, Resize, USM.

I like your take on the challenge. The shadow is a bit distracting and takes away the sharpness of the beans.

This is funny and certain to irritate the true believers. I like it and I give my 7 for creativity totally outside the confines of the challenge. lol

I luv it. Such imagination. Nice color and lighting. The shadow at top is a bit distracting, but overall I like the composition. Now I see where these tall tales come from!!! :-)

A point for humor. Didn't the challenge say to "prove the existense of creatures?" Nicely exposed. Not sure I like the shadow in the top right corner.

what is the bottle resting on ? I find it distracting to see just a bit of something that noticeable - a 'bottle plus beans' closeup would have been a stronger shot for me

Cute!! Question: what is the yellow object that Jack is resting on? Also, you could have cloned out the black speck to the right of the beans, as well as a few other imperfections.

Cute idea, but the shadow and the yellow whatever-that-is are distracting. Good sharpness and color.

Nice play on words. Makes you think of the *real* reason the Giant fell off the beanstalk ;) The shadow in the top corner bothers me a little, and I don't know what the yellow is at the bottom. The golden egg?
