nickyb,
A masterpiece in minimalism here at DPC. Thanks for the creative vision in this piece. May your scores continue to go "up up and away"!

Now Langdon simply cannot change the skin of DPC or this will fail to impress in 2020 :)

pity about the top part
little bit of tweaking the blue would have given it a wonderful end product
off course the best thing is to hang it in saatchi

The reactions to this image before and after the challenge are very interesting. I'm pleased to see the number of voters who tried to refresh the image. Very successful!

Actually, I wasted much more time wondering why one of gyaban's wings is so much longer than the other one.

You probably set a record for "views during voting" because of all the refreshes! :)

I always found any attempt to get a brown very silly and predictable, but this one is so smart! So young and so clever :)

You nailed this one!

Congrats on the well planned brown! I was sucked in but didn't contribute to your score because I didn't think I could cast a vote without it loading properly. ROFL!

Note the extraordinary number of views during voting; will that be all the people reloading the image thinking it had hung up?

Congrats, Nicky! It's not everyone can actually add a new twist to the Charliebaker oeuvre :-)

I like the idea.

Only got the top 1/8th of the picture nothing else loaded is this the intent of the picture
about 10 x 700 ?

Is there a glitch or am I seeing a grey photo with a cropped skyline?
  Photographer found comment helpful.
05/29/2012 09:42:15 PM
I'm not sure what to make of this: Is the "away" in the title referring to the location of the missing 90% of the picture? I'm only seeing a 1 inch strip of sky. Not voting now...Thinking.

Not voting but commenting on this one.

Either this got chopped in upload or this is a very sneaky & clever 'tell but don't show' composition demonstrating this as an unfinished work(i.e. the Expert Editing was used to grab the same DPC color and cover the picture with a 3/4 grey block) You are either telling us to 'use your imagination' to fill in the blank or disaster struck and your entry did not fully load. Either way, I hope you post to the outtakes to show us what we 'missed'.

It looks like must have experienced a bug in uploading since I can only see a sliver of sky in the top 10% of the frame.

the image is broken, how unfortunate ;[
please post a link to the image so we can see it when voting is finished

sadly this image won't load, so i just hope its not a good one! :P gets 1 point cause it aint loading :(
  Photographer found comment helpful.
05/25/2012 10:35:27 PM
I'm afraid all I'm seeing is the top 10% of the photo, then it seems to stop loading.

I'll vote on the assumption you intended it, and created something that's 10% a normal photo and the rest gray to match the DPC background.

But if you didn't, i suggest you contact the Site Council.

I think something didn't load correctly. I'm going to not vote because I don't think I'm looking at what you wanted me to see.
