 I was trying to do something completely different for the Zen challenge this time but was having no success and getting more frustrated by the minute....
Then I saw this in the Zen forum thread:

I made me smile and I thought "why not give it a try yourself"?

So I did.... Took me quite a while, for some reason I can never "replicate" one of my own shots to my satisfaction....

The score started off awfully low but went up to seven after the first night (thank goodness) and has hovered there ever since.

Congrats on the ribbon. I'm not really a fan of just repeating a prior shot for a good vote, but I guess it gave you the result you were looking for.

Beautiful, yet too indulgent to inspire the concept/nature of Zen in my opinion. Although I don't see Zen in this image, many will. Good luck with the vote.

This is one subject that gets endlessly tackled. Nice but it does not get past the images we are already familiar with.
There are sharpening halos on the branch.
