i can't remember exactly what time it was taken at, but there was still some light in the sky. wasn't full blown daylight, but it wasn't dark. i bought an 8-stop nd variable filter specifically for this challenge because i knew what i wanted to shoot. unfortunately, 8-stops isn't enough for long exposures in full daylight. i had to use the max setting on the filter for this 5 minute one and it was already getting dark.

i'd probably give it a 7 or an 8.

don't think i'd leave a comment, maybe it would be "love the symmetry" or "love the balance"

I thinkkkkkk you guys are probably misunderstanding me. i LIKE bullshit. i wasn't being sarcastic with my post challenge comment. my entry for this challenge is probably a bit more original than some other entries here, but it's still something that's been done to pieces before. i have no qualms with this. it looks nice. but it's still kind of bullshit.

i pity you, having a bullshit shot as a pb ;-)

can't begin to imagine the stress of having to nail 5 more 7+ shots to get it off your home page...

different exposure; this one has no clouds, unfortunately.

This looks like the same image as the b&w free study and I already commented on that one...

But this image is far superior to the B&W version. The color tones are absolutely exquisite.

I hope you don't get "dinged" by other voters for entering very similar images.

BTW, I believe this is probably a different capture so technically isn't the same image :)

Such clean lines and pleasing tones. Could definitely see this in someone's office. 8 from me, well done!

I believe this will be the highest vote for me in this challenge. This is excellent. Simple, yet specific. Draws me in, takes me out, and right back again. Excellent.

Perfectly meets the challenge. love the horizon position. Usually being dead center would detract from a nice capture but in this case with the dock projecting such a solid image into the picture it works wonderfully. Sweet ten for a sweet zen.
