 I used manual focus on this. Tried to blur the focus myself. Processed in CS6, by creating two layers, one b&w, and one color. Also added to blur by using smart blur. After my two layers, I adjusted the layer slider to normal, 47%. Came up with an old fashioned type photo.

There is much more than just a cat and daisies. It's that hot afternoon in the summer feeling we have all had at one time or another. Makes me want to crane my neck to hear the cicadas in the trees; scrounge around for some ice and a glass of lemonade.

I like that part of the photo as well. That is why I chose it. I thought it just added a neat affect to the blur, somehow enhanced it.

Tiny is a good subject in my gardens. She spends a lot of time playing with the flowers. She is now 14, and will turn 15 near the end of the year. The blur definitely leaves her looking very good. She is a little worn around the edges by now.
