True enough. It's been a stressful time in my life. I am struggling with life events, which leaves little time for my beloved photography. This, too, shall pass. Thanks for your comments. |

I'm disappointed to see where this finished. It shared my top spot with one other (which didn't do very well either).
Thank you for including the interesting links, Richard. |

Awesome picture and it certainly deserves better than 74th place, but maybe one is one track minded when thinking of technology. The definition is as follows:
tech·nol·o·gy
noun /tekˈnäləjē/
technologies, plural
The application of scientific knowledge for practical purposes, esp. in industry
- advances in computer technology
- recycling technologies
Machinery and equipment developed from such scientific knowledge
The branch of knowledge dealing with engineering or applied sciences.
You thought outside the box!! Wonderful image and to me, from what you described,it is the newest form of technology that messes with the ecosystem on a global level. Modern day rain making... |

Hahn, is this you? I don't know that I see any cloud seeding here, but I'll just trust you on that account. Ok. Sure it's technology, but the image composition is just OK at best... If this is Richard's image I'll be just a little disappointed in that aspect of it.
ETA: The issue, for me, with the composition is that the tree in the foreground blends too well with the background, and, again, for me, is somewhere in that nether-region where I feel there should either be more tree (vertically especially) or less tree.
Again, though, I think it's just how much that tree seems to blend in with the background, more tonal separation would have been very nice, or maybe more height.. I do like the cloud between it and the closest ridge, but.. *shrug* Just ends up feeling like a decent composition overall in my mind. (the peak is placed quite perfectly, and the crop aspect is great for this image too) |
