Took Exposure at night in a tent at a local festival tonight. Since I have little experience with very low light shooting I had completely the wrong lens so most the shots were poop, including this one. So, I did the following in this order to get the finished capture.
1 Adjusted Shadows and Midtones up
2 Sharpened until the cows came home
3 Adjusted light levels again
4 Moved all the colors to a warmer place
5 Straightened the picture twice through the full range of straightening (it was shot with about a 30% upward angle but we all know cool guitarists dig deep on a hard Riff so it had to be down.)
6 Sharpened yet again (if you see the original you will understand where i came from on this. I actually liked the picture as shot but not enough to not play some.
7 Adjusted tones again
All the above was done in Picasa because I am too dumb apparently to figure out PS. Then...

windy title aside, nice radical processing (for dpc). 7.

I genuinely hope this ends up at the bottom of the pack.. Why in the heck would you do this to an image? The whole thing has become a eye gouging nightmare because of the processing.

The simple save here would have been to simply convert this to B&W, that would have taken away almost all of the eye-gouging aspects. I probably would have loved this as a super-low key image, perhaps if you had just cranked down the ISO and shot somewhat fast, then left me with an image of highlight and deep blacks, I probably would have preferred it... All personal preference really, but bright pinks and greens with lots of blur and grain isn't my thing. :)
