 I took this shot of my husband and our dog while out on our morning walk in the fog, but you could still see some background intrusions like a car and a pole and wires, so I faded them out and replaced them with this onOne texture.
Ha, I probably replaced the blurriest parts, but the subject isn't sharp so still might pass as blur.

Nice to see the subjects clearly, but if you entered this in a regular challenge you would definitely get OOF comments. I'd call it soft focus, and I really like the mood.

Not normally one for overlays or fancy borders unless they are well done and add to the image - this works well for me.

I think it all works fine, the loose lead and the dogs tail give the picture a flowing harmony, lovely.

I love the photo! I don't think the border is suitable though, as it kind of interacts with the man's feet, seems like he's standing on it and looks a bit odd.
