The tight crop works for me.i even like the ribbon and the blue background. Interesting without distracting. |

Very well composed, although not terribly exciting. Nice image. |

This has great colors and color balance and ranks fairly high on my list. I really like the tilted perspective instead of the straight upright composition which is common in this challenge. The ribbon adds a lot of excitement and the subject is crystal clear. The only thing I'd change is having a tighter cropping to eliminate the less-interesting parts of the image (much of the blue above and to the side of the berries and the base of the glass). |

Wonderful composition with the red ribbon. The mint is a nice addition. |

Voted earlier coming back to comment now.
Love the angle you took this at - it adds visual interest and the splash of red ribbon that curls around it pulls the all the elements together nicely. The unwrapping of a sweet treat. Not sure how others feel about the tilt but to me the glass is tilting towards me. I can clearly see the berries and cream through the glass but that tilt is like the temptation of pushing a dessert towards one and stating "You want some, you know you do". My only critiques are that I wish that the berries and cream were stacked higher like a little mountain of sweets rising from the glass - or at least till the mint leaf on the left is resting on the rim like it does on the right. Then it would be a subtle nod that the flavor is bursting out towards you rather than having to 'peek' over the rim to take a taste. Lastly, is those confounded reflections on glass that can really be a challenge. The only suggestions I can suggest to eliminate or minimalize them is a really good polarizer filter or shoot the composition in a light tent. |

nice, well executed shot here, really having nothing to critique, like the use of the mint leaves to bring in some contrasting color. |

This is a tough challenge to vote. I'm torn between "what are you trying to do here" and "what do I expect here". Further complicating matters is the question "what would I do here".
What I would expect would be a technically strong piece of eye-candy that would present the dessert in a way that I would want to at least sample it, if not order it. Along these lines I'm looking at technicals: backgrounds, distracting elements, exposure, sharpness. I'm also looking for creativity, imagination, and originality, which can make up for less than perfect technicals.
So, where does this leave me with your image?
Nice, clean stock shot, ready for the menu at Applebee's or O'Charley's. If anything, you could have put in a few more berries. |

Nice color, I like the bi-color background but not sure i like the textured paper on one but not the other color. |

I love the focus on this... But, I think the red ribbon adds too much "busyness" to the scene... and detracts from that delicious subject.
