Interesting combination of colors. Lots of strawberries in this challenge. |

You made the chocolate looks delicious! Nice background, but very busy in combination with the strawberries. |

I like the shine on the chocolate, but the background is distracting and dominates the shot. |

All the colors in the background are a distraction from your main subject and compete to be the focal point. |

I like the crispness and reflections in the chocolate but think a less busy background would have helped keep the focus on the sweetness. |

This is a tough challenge to vote. I'm torn between "what are you trying to do here" and "what do I expect here". Further complicating matters is the question "what would I do here".
What I would expect would be a technically strong piece of eye-candy that would present the dessert in a way that I would want to at least sample it, if not order it. Along these lines I'm looking at technicals: backgrounds, distracting elements, exposure, sharpness. I'm also looking for creativity, imagination, and originality, which can make up for less than perfect technicals.
So, where does this leave me with your image?
Nice idea, but off a little bit compositionally. I would suggest cropping 20% off the top and 25% off the right. You can use a white napkin as a reflector to through a little of that ambient light up onto the front to bring out a little more detail in the shadows. |

I like the idea of the background quite a bit, but I don't think it works in this case (for me, at least. :)
If you had a yellow dessert, I think it could be quite a bit of fun. But right now it just seems to fight your subject instead of help it. -6- |

Argh! I find myself being drawn to the background and wondering what it has to do with the subject. A bit overwhelming. |

Really like the idea but I'd have preferred a white background and tablecloth. Those wavy colors in the background draw the eye away from the main focal point. Good luck, though. |

The background is very distracting. The plate and the strawberries, which work well together, lose out because of the wildness behind them. |

Whoa!
I love the foreground... but that background is a killer to me.
I wish it were just a bit more... simple... to let the focus be on those scrumptious strawberries with chocolate!
