 I'm really lucky to live a couple of miles of Colonial Williamsburg. I don't shoot there very often, but it just had to be done for vintage!

The difficulty lies in shooting around the tourists. And waiting for the right time. It was extremely hot this day, but I wandered around hoping for the right shot in the right time. I was very lucky. :)

The last one was almost the entry, but I really loved the feel of the final entry -- probably because I could see myself living in that time. :)

Until I got back to my air conditioning, then I deciding I'd rather live in 2012. :)

This jumped off the screen and screamed Currier and Ives when I opened it. It demanded a 10. I had no suspicion it was yours, Wendy. Congratulations on another perfect interpretation and execution of the theme.

I've got to go to Colonial Williamsburg - even tho the tourists would drive me nuts!
What a great image! It just feels "right", if that makes any sense. It appears it was taken just a tad after your middle alternative, but the positional relationship of the carriage and the house just feels much, much better. I also like your editing on this better than your middle alternative.
Your 3rd alternative is a great picture as well - so simple, but it connects strongly with me emotionally.
