This photo is absurd yet still manages to convince you of its reality (i.e. the whole point of the craft). It's unfortunate, but photography is quickly becoming a lost art. The days of a thousand words are pretty much gone. Nowhere is this more evident than this challenge. We awarded three ribbons to photos for their dust jackets alone, while missing out on this novel. Your 20th place finish does nothing more than illustrate the fact that voters are still reading at 3rd grade levels. |

And then there's this. Haunting and on the edge of comprehension, irresistible. |

Groovy and delightful. I love the concept of the man trapped in this thoughts or trying to think of an escape.

EXPERT work with the lightbulb. Beyond the comic strip reference, there's some other reference (to me). Miro maybe? 7 |

You are right!! That is an unusual use these days and therefore I will give this a 9. I really like the concept on this one too and you are definitely thinking outside the box :) |

This is my pick for number two. No matter what manner this was captured in I find it simultaneously haunting, but curious. It's a very odd image, and it's very well put together. The title, in this case, adds to the image as well.
Well done! |

Sometimes we come up with this great idea that we think has universal appeal and we spend time producing the image and....yeah, well this is one of those that works, but I would have like to see a little more detail. However, as it is, it is an excellent image. Well done. |
