 I decided to take part in this challenge just some hours before the submission time expired. I went to the video rental to return dvd's, I took my camera with me, but almost decided to leave it at home because it was raining a lot. I drove downtown to check out if it wasn't raining, and the luck was with me, there was no rain. I didn't want to be there at the City Hall for long time because I had another motive in mind. After 37 shots at long shutter speed on tripod, and 29 minutes, I ran out of batteries! I just went home, and it didn't matter because it started to rain just when I left downtown.
It was taken with 10D and 17-40mmL lens on 17mm and on tripod ofcourse.
I used levels and unsharp mask and then I added a small border.
I hope this will do better than average :-) I'm not expecting to be at the top - I have to quit to take those last hours shots and those last minute entries - only 2-3 minutes left of the submission time now, that's more than it has been some 2-3 times before. :-)

Very sharp and crisp, loads of detail, I bet it looks fabulous in full screen. I see that you have decided to let the moon peek above the house on the left, nice. Very good viewpoint. Just the right amount of light in the sky. I also like that you kept in the entrance on the right and the traffic sign on the left. One could argue if you should have cloned out the light reflections in the big window imo it disturbs the green mystical feel of the light inside. Anyways this is a grand shot.

Nice exposure and love the reflection on the water. That has got to be the finest City Hall I've ever seen. Great composition.

Damn, why is it all the Iceland photos look like Heida's. Must be some inherent talent you folks have. This is one of the best shots in the challenge. beautiful night lights. 10
