 Thanks all. Always fun to hit the front page!

two lights:
One with foil snoot(made foil into different shapes) coming from camera right about 2' away from a black background. 24x24 softbox behind the shrooms camera left projecting light forward to a gold sided reflector camera right at opposing angle. Speedlights all around.

Squeeze water from dropper and fire shutter until something looked good. It took quite a few shots to come up with one that had nice movement and a drip coming off the largest mushroom. Much respect to you water drop shooters out there.

I originally didn't want to include the pot but because it was an obvious setup, decided not to crop it out. Without the pot, it lacked balance IMO.

thanks again-6 yrs since my first ribbon and they're still exciting.

Foil!?!???! Now you tell me!!! I've been trying to roll paper and tape every time I needed a snout. Argh!! Foil makes sooooo much sense!

Huge congrats on the ribbon, but I'm more excited about foil. :)

How such a static thing as a mushroom can shake off the water... Great dynamic photo. The plantpot doesn't improve it.

Oh! Fun!

I wish the pot weren't shown... or at least if it were level. Without it, one imagines it as a little world as you title suggests. But the pot brings it back into MY world...

I wanted to stay in the little world longer. :D

Strange, surreal shot! Interesting. I think if you cropped out the pot and had a square crop it might work better. Either way, nice job.
