 Joe Girardi of the New York Yankees argues with home plate umpire Tony Randazzo.

Yankees' batter Chris Dickerson called time out right before Tampa Bay Rays' pitcher Alex Cobb threw the pitch, and Randazzo did not grant him the time out. The pitch was called a strike for strike three.

The runner on first was stealing second on the pitch so catcher Jose Molina jumped out of his crouch to catch and throw, which made it appear as if the pitch was high.

Replays showed that Dickerson called time out too late and that the pitch was indeed a strike.

Girardi was tossed from the game.

Wonderful candid of the American propensity to challenge authority and lash out verbally at 'on the field' authority without fear of physical recrimination. Has the umpire EVER reversed his/her decision when challenged in this manner!?
