Written by John Lennon in 1977 and released 1995, 15 years after his death.

A non-captive Pied Kingfisher (Ceryle rudis) hovering whilst spotting for prey (fish) here. Miliseconds later she (the male has two rings on neck, female only one) had dived and caught her fish, which I missed :(

I'll add out-take(s) later...

6.5? too ambitious no doubt!

Interestingly at roll-over 2x1's were scrubbed as I had 91 votes. There has to be some paying members playing silly buggers...

Great great shot Harvey. The result of hours of waiting and even more hours of practise. Should've been much higher. (Score not the bird lol)

Jislaaik, Harvey such a clear image.
This bird is much free-er than his meal is going to be, for sure. Concentration and determination. Nice.

Excellent in-flight capture - I think something is about to breathe its last :) Voted earlier.

what a capture! a bit of extra sharpening perhaps as shown in the halo around the bird, but it is a great shot.
