thanks for all the great comments! this is the view from my back door, and while i knew what sort of composition I wanted, I was completely surprised to see the effect of a 5 second shot! the lights are simply street lights and for the black and white I used in camera personalized settings. I was also surprised to see it's authenticity challenged but luckily I had nothing to worry about...

Lovely foggy layers. Now why would anyone challenge this image? Something is amiss with these volunteer image police. Bumping to 7 for upstaging one of them.
