A spectacular 10/25/12 morning in the park, after the overnight snow. Perfectly quiet air and floating clouds around the peak.

A better size here: Drifting among the Peaks
For the record, it was indeed perfectly silent when I captured this image. There was no wind and the newly fallen snow dampened all sounds. It was serenely peaceful.

Doesn't seem oversharpened to me. Looks just like I saw with my eyes.

| i was one of your 10's looks perfect to me and eerily silent i love the high mountains after fresh snow, there definetly seems a trait to look for the worst in a picture on DPC rather than the best, trees look fine to me on a brand new 27" imac screen |
