 I spent almost 3 weeks in Shanghai during October on a business trip. Sadly the business part took up far too much of my time, but I did manage to get out and about a bit during the weekends. I spent a lot of time wandering around the Dong Tai Lu "antique" market which really is a photographer's paradise!

Not much is truly antique. It's full of junk really and copies of things made to look old :) Still it's a fun place to visit with a camera.

Sadly I have noticed that resizing my D800 files to fit DPC dimensions destroys the quality. 36 mpx down to 800 px does not result in particularly good looking images.

I should have commented before I read your comments, I was going to say something about the stories that must acommpany these bags, but perhaps there are none. It's still a wonderful photography.

Terrific picture - Love the look of the girl on the bike - has a sort of fifties Americas feel to it, yet clearly Chinese.

Funny contrast between that picture and the one below it as she is barely covered - yet the great leader is wrapped up in hat and coat.

If I had to choose between them I would definitely vote for her ;- )

This is just fun. I really love those suitcases. People use them, stacked as side tables and the like. Those posters are great.
