 I just wanted to try out some opposite photoshop technique. Everyone always uses the "paintbrush in the scene to add color to a black and white shot. Here I did it wrong and took the color out with the brush.

I bumped up the warmth on the basic shot and its a bit yellow. There is also some awful lens distortion and general lack of image quality.I probably should have cleaned up the house a bit more, the stuff on the right(briefcases, work papers) is a bit distracting, however, I intentionally left in the Sprite Zero, the can and the light and the painting in back, as well as the clock in the mirror were necessary distracting details in my opinion, its all a learning process.

There is a lot going on in the picture that normally an audience would be hard pressed to find where to focus on as a main subject. The addition of the paint brush paint-stripping all the color along it's path is what makes this photo composition. The idea of 'taking away' the holiday cheer comes across clearly. My only critique is that I wish that there were more holiday decorations than just the harvest pumpkins/berry wreath on the table to further strengthen the idea of holiday warmth being 'deconstructed'.

What a cool idea! There are a lot of distracting in the photo like the can, but it's still cool.
