Since I own a bucket truck as one of the vehicles in my company fleet, I used it to gain a better perspective on this scene. It reaches about 30 feet high but for this shot, I was only about 20 feet above the ground since the wind was blowing a little causing it's little evil effect on my photography session. The tripod mounted perfectly on the lip of the bucket using some clamps. I recently bought the Canon 1Dx since I wanted the best camera made for night photography. This image is helping to fortify the reviews out on the camera, in my opinion. I don't know how to get the moon right in these long exposure shots though! Any help or advice would be appreciated!

I also just bought the Canon 17mm T/S lens which I am having a blast using. The lens is shifted down about 5 degrees for this shot, no tilt. A wonderfully sharp lens. I have practiced using it in downtown Denver, and it works great for it's intended design. But I still have lots to learn to be awarded with its full potential.

Even though this shot is 171 seconds, I still had to carefully cover the lens with the lens cap for a few seconds because it was taking the cars so long to get through the scene. Got lucky with two cars traveling each direction in this shot. So many were just one way, and not as nice looking in comparison.

I had a great time doing this project, calling it a project because I went out twice with the bucket truck to get different scenes and I like this one the very best.

Thanks to all my Long Shots teammates for helping with advice once again.

All the comments are very much appreciated! In fact, the comments, any type of comment always makes me smile. Thanks.

I expected a better score for this image, even if 6.5+ is always very good in a FS. This month is for you, but last one will be mine :)

Voted earlier coming back to comment.

Wow, the vibrant reds zip and take me down the road at warp speed. It leads my eye down to the city below. Love the details of the lights that shine and sparkle in the night. Very well done night shot - it is not easy to achieve that level of balance in detail when you have bright lights, long exposure, and night sky. Great job.

Very nice long-exposed image and good processing. Only little distracting thing is the moon (too bright and stretched shape).

The lines are used exceptionally well in this shot and the title perfect for it. Sharp and clarity very good for this time of day. One almost gets the sense of moving from country to the city here..and the huge contrast in it. Lovely shot with creative comp

nice long exposre makes you follow the trail on its journey, id have been tempted to correctly expose the moon in the same framing and mask it in
