Definately a good interpretation of the song. THe focus is a tad soft for my personal taste. The background is really good for this shot. Nothing distracting. Lighting appears to be ok. Wish we could see his eyes a bit more. GOod luck in the challenge.

Wow that dog looks so melancholy, get job capturing such a look on an animal. I would like to see a bit more of the top of the dogs head, but that is just nit picky, and perhaps more lighting but that may also subtract from the mood. 8.

Take my comments for what they are worth for I am just a novice with a new camera. Dodo

Great tune, great picture. Maybe less crop on top of the head, or a much closer crop. Still a great shot. jacko 8

He is focused on something - the dog that is :)

Dislikes: You cuat off the top of his/her head"his" for conversation ease). Shame shame. Likes: everything, especially the two white hairs above his right eye. I love the sheen to his fur. Can't decide how I feel about the shadow or darkness or his right side. It makes his eye a little hard to really see but then it really doesn't upset me that much since he is dark. I like the B&W. I'll give it a 7 PTL

Congrats, my pick for the best of the week. Simple, effective, and definitely suited to the topic and title. Good lighting and composition. Only other observation is that the focus could be a little more crisp, but I dont think that it significantly detracts form the photo. Great Job!

Would have liked this cropped tighter (head only) or looser (showing some space above the top of the dog's head.) Good exposure, good detail, good depth of field. 6

good job, noticed with a roommate's cat that black animals are real hard to take pictures of, focus and grain perfect here. good dog.

Love Zeppelin. Great dog. Good composition, and lighting, but your picture lacks a little sharpness.

Great shot let down only slightly by focus. Love the framing, though and the light. 8 - floyd

Shame the focus is a little off, otherwise a superb dog portrait.

I have a dog that's almost a carbon copy of this one and I know how much of a lighting struggle in can be. Usually it's either all or nothing. You did a great job here creating a dramatic moment with your lighting. Nice Work.
