 Hadn't shot anything for this and was kicking myself for not finding SOMETHING, after all, I have kids and a gazillion toys to choose from. :-) So ... rummaged around in my son's room and this was my second choice (dogs liked the first choice and kept carrying it off). The dogs are about 9 months old now and weren't certain what to make of this thing that moved and sounded (kind of) like a dog. The far one is quite cautious and ready to duck back around the corner - the other is more aggressive, but still unsure at this point.

Overall, it was a fun shoot (and quite NOISY!!! with all that barking). :-D

Liked this best in B&W - hope it does "okay".

Great idea just misses posing the two (live) dogs for maximum effect. Just ask the distant one to step out and growl; get the foreground dog to show some teeth and you've got it. Easy. As if. Top ten in my book. Voted earlier.

Nice control of focal depth.
Excilent lighting on the robot-dog. I think the framing detracts from the image. I think you can enhance the image by cropping out the cupboards on the left and the horizontal Muntin in the window at the top.
