I really like this photo, but I'm expecting a dismal finish. While I came up with one decent picture of a very obvious mirror, I liked this one much better, and decided to go ahead with it. The glass and water are in fact on a regular, framed mirror, but it was sitting on my bed instead of hanging up (obviously). It's very oversharpened, but I like it... it's a little abstract.

Editing: Spot editing to make the glass stand out against the contrasty reflections of my drapes, resized, unsharp mask, curves, levels, Neat Image, converted to b&w and then a very tweaked quadtone, sharpened and faded, border added. I think that's it.

Duotone was a good choice for this shot. Background colour I'm sure would have confused the viewer. Nice effect.

The texture and detail in this shot does it for me. The sepia works VERY well, great use of the rule of thirds. 9

Great shot! Love the strong contrast of this shot. Those are my favorite type of b/w or duotone shots. Things I feel are missing are perhaps some ice cubes in the drink and a less distracting reflection on the right. The reflections of the glass are very interesting but if you want to maximize focus time on the glass, make the most of it. Give the eyes something to look at. I think you had an overhead light source so even a plain reflection would have worked as well or maybe a dark gray to show the drops on the glass surface. And to be really nitpicky, wax the glass surface so the water beads vs spreading. Otherwise, I really enjoyed this photo. Good job! 7

Striking shot. Absolutely love it. Great tones and contrasts. The composition and the background reflection gives it a tad bit of an abstract feel, very crisp. For some strange reason, I feel compelled to clean up that spill. :-) Nice job.
