Beautiful in-air capture. I like the sky, the colours are beautiful. I wish it weren't so noise though.
ADDED: And then I read your note that it isn't sky, but out of focus landscape. :( Oh well, the colours are beautiful regardless.

It looks like a harrier jet landing |

I love this capture. I too agree the noise is distracting. I might try isolating the bird, and then try soft focus in NIK or if you have Topaz, use denoise. |

A great capture of a bird on the hunt. The noise is a little distracting but I wonder if it was to be converted to B&W the noise may actually add to the image. |

Oh, yeah. A sweet shot that's hard to get. I love shooting birds, I just wish it weren't so damn hard, especially with the kind of equipment that us mere mortals can afford. I like how the bird is nicely isolated from the background. I *might* crop a bit off the top and look at it a second time. |

Lovely BiF, showing the hovering intent look of the bird after prey. BG is perfect for this with little distractions but enough detail to show an "In the wild" shot. Yes the "noise" is distracting but as Sandy mentioned it's environment aka mist. I'll have a go at reducing it in Post if I may? :) I think the bird is too central on the horizontal (fine on the vertical) and I would have placed him/her a tad higher on the upper one third horizontal. That might have then also changed the orientation to portrait. Only seeing the original would allow me to make that call.
Overall great camera/lens control and patience to get the shot. Please post EXIF! (ISO S/S Aperture) |

Nice capture, but the noise/grain really distracts. Not sure if its over sharpening, large crop, or just plain noise from high ISO.

Beautiful bird in a beautiful pose. I like the contast of yellow-brown for the bird to the blue-purple in the sky. I find the structure in the sky (sharpening artefacts?) a little distracting. |

I could watch a harrier hunt all day .. the ones here hunt using their ears to hear their prey so they swop back and forth over the open fields .. you can't predict where they will fly so shooting them is more difficult as they tend not to perch - you did an excellent job of catching him in flight with talons extended. Excellent capture of a difficult subject. |

The colors in the sky are just lovely and set him off beautifully. I find the grain unusual in a color image - not sure I like it . . . Love his intent pose - something is going to bite the dust very soon :) |

Nice catch! It looks similar to the Northern Harrier that we see here in North America. |
