I quite like this. The lighting is wonderful and the glasses is a nice touch to finish of the story. A lovely still life. |

The light on the background is quite beautiful in some ways. But ... to my eye, it is the "focal" point (the point of interest) in this photo; not what you wanted here. Somehow you got to get the light on the subject and use the background as complement (I think, don't know much about still life photography though). Also, out of curiosity, why the partial glasses? |

The (textures of the) objects are promising for yet another fine image. Problem with this one is there's much more background than in your other images, and also in a lighter colour. My eyes are led to the bright part of that background instead of the objects itself, so another presentation/composition might work well.

These are nice subjects that make a nice picture and offer plenty of inspiration for subsequent shots. The thing that caught my eye is the bright reflection on the back wall, which seems to throw your lighting off. If you could add some shoes, or even unprocessed leather, this would make the "shoemaker" notion more complete. While you're at it, you might also try to form a little more coherent still life - the objects in this shot seem a little disconnected. |

Fabulous subjects. If it's possible, I would try it again using raw. It really does make it that much easier to make adjustments |

This shot has an old time feel to it so you were successful in meeting that goal - the only thing I might remove is the pair of glasses - and that's not a given. Your photos are a wonderful peek into yesterday and I hope to continue to see more. |

Yup experimentation awesome. Keep pushing. RAW RAW RAW :P Also that shoe-form left against wall looks too "placed". Can you blend? Take 3 or 4 shots and blend in your editing application. Just light paint a different object each time for 10-12 seconds and then blend, after fixing WB :) |

I like the subject matter. I'd reshoot, in RAW of course, so that you can work with it more afterwards, putting the items closer to the same focal plane, so that you can get everything in focus at the same time. But this one has promise.... |

I like the subjects, too. Worn wood is always great both for the warm tones and the textures. You might have too many subjects in one frame for me - this feels like multiple still lifes. |

That is what make side challenges so great. You can keep experimenting and gettging good suggestions. I like your choice of subjects and would use them again. You make me want to try this technique because you are getting some nice looks. Keep it up. |
