Black paper backdrop, 4 AB800 strobes in Med. Softboxes, pointed one camera left about 60 degrees, one camera right about 45 degrees. Left and right rear lights are high about 45 degrees. Counted to three she blew the glitter from her hands and I shot until I got what I liked. She loves Glitter and brought it and wanted to do something with it.

Great portrait with beautiful light. The fact she is blowing that glitter makes it a not-everyday-portrait, I like that.

I read "black pepper backdrop" and imagined a sneeze. Good timing.

Nice engaging look and perfect timing with "blow" and flying glitter. Great light setup. Perhaps it's me but I prefer off centre subjects. Well done on avoiding flash reflections on her glasses and the clarity you achieved.

Very well done and she will be thrilled, I'm sure. Pretty girl - even if she doesn't always wear glasses, they were a good idea for this shot, I think, as they protected her eyes. And I agree about what a good job you did with the glasses.

Lovely portrait, and nice personal touch seeing that she is yhe one who loves glitter. I love the clarity of her eyes. That can't be easy to achieve with glasses.

You're a pro, and it shows. I for one would have messed up the lighting on het glasses, and be left with a horrible shadow on her right cheek. But you get it all sorted out, and can conentrate on her expression and the right moment. Good job.

I personally love that she did her pics in a sweatshirt. :). This is an awesome shot. You will never forget taking it every time you find more glitter for decades to come you will know it all started here.

Lighting is challenging, lighting with glasses OMG Hard...You nailed it perfectly.... love glitter but what a mess. Great portrait.

Good stuff. Fun, creative, and it makes her look good.

But OMG, glitter everywhere. I'm still occasionally finding glitter from a shoot I did with a kid in 2008. The lesson I learned from that shoot was to use glitter on the *outdoor* shoots only!

Egads that had to been a mess to clean up. But it made for a lovely unique senior portrait. Nicely done.

Matt, what a lovely shot - you caught her mouth at just the perfect time so her pose adds to her natural beauty .. I know you are a busy man but would you fill in details on how you lit this .. I think I know but the shadows you left in are just perfect and adds a depth to the shot.
