6400 ISO and 1/640 and no colour noise to speak off. No man you're making my mouth water.
Naturally the sensor did not make the expression or compo. :)
Pity the blue backdrop didn't extend beyond the boy in blue...Critics..who needs'em?
I know a piece of software that can do that for you ...

Although a great shot, showing the expression on the face of the defender, I really would have liked to see the face of the other player as well, but unfortunately his face is covered by his arms. Technically it is a great shot with good light and focus spot-on.

Hmmm, Matt, I have to say, this one I don't like as much as many of your action shots. It mainly makes me think of elbows. Sorry :)

Professional stuff, as usual. I like the clean blue background.

Trust me there are plenty of "crap lighting" shots. A great friend and fellow photographer told me once. If you really want to be known as a great photographer some day, you have to realize that everyone takes crappy, terrible shots. But a true professional only shows the great ones to people he wants to become clients. :D

Love the guys expression. Looks like he is explaining something to the other player on the correct way to pass the ball. Nice capture.

Looks as if he's saying, "I don't think so!" Such clarity and focus!

It's a horrible shot Matt and just for shames sake you should send me that lens - (grin) As usual I love the expressions you catch on (one of their) faces. Nice lighting and great natural colors - well, maybe the blue is a tad compressed but the excitement of the shot makes up for that.

Very nice. I can be fun to see what the wrong lens can do.

I wish I could see the other players face but intensity is conveyed in the pose and interaction. I like that the blue shirt doesn't disappear into the blue wall. Nice work.

Awesome Matt as always. The compression almost makes that blue look fake...
