Fits the song perfectly. Your focus and clarity are good, and the angle and framing/cropping is nice to accent the necklace, which is a very important part of the photo due to the challenge. I don't mind at all here, that you have cropped her hand and head. I think it works. Lighting is quite nice for the photo as well. Good luck in the challenge. |

Hmmm...not sure it was that kind of pearl necklace they were referring to...;). |

This is a wonderful image. I especially like the following : Hidden thumb, encircled pearl at lower right, splash of hair, nice use of lighting on pearls themselves, chioce to use just a portion of the neck region. That being said I personally find the shadows beneath the fingers and pearls a tad harsh. I would have liked the skin texture to be a little smoother...the pores and hairs although a fact of life take away the glamour edge for me. These are just very minor complaints that really don't amount to a hill of beans for most folk ( so you can ignore them too). I really like your graphic composition. A clean technically impeccable image. This is one of my fav shots for this week. You should easily be in the top 10. Good luck1 |

if you took the title away and just looked at the image, you might not know what the image should be saying to you. the hand covers up most of the pearls and a large part of the picture is the shoulder. maybe if the hand was on the shoulder it would still express what you wanted it to and the pearls would be more visible. |

how will you know if folks are rating you high on your artistic ability, or just because there's a pretty lady involved. |

My first thought on this pic is that the necklace should've been over the fingers. Maybe like she's touching her neck under the necklace. Her neck looks funny too. Where'd her chin go? I think that's why it doesn't look right - Inspzil |
