They are so wise. Magnificent photography

Or Watcher in the Woods. Very cool portrait of this owl in his natural environment. Love the direct gaze. Voted earlier.

Wonderful and engaging eyes caught. Boring into my soul!
I'd say this was the same bird as another mouse catching entry. Perhaps not as powerful a shot but still technically very good in trying conditions. Wildlife needs to be rewarded especially when we go to these lengths to capture for others to enjoy. 7.
My guess the team of Ryan and Susan ( Magnumphotography and snaffles) bu could also be Enlightened

Still looking for these in my area of Ottawa, Canada. I have never encountered one before.
So yeah, I'm jealous!
Nice shot with great detail and a good exposure.
So technically you did do well. But the image itself is missing the wow factor. Which can lead to lower scores on dpc.
I just wish he was chomping on a mouse or something. Putting it over the edge.
Although, this may have been the only shot you got, of this beauty of a bird.

Their eyes are the best part

Very sharp, well framed image.

You have to love that intense look these great greys always have. Great capture!

Wait a second...is that the same owl I just voted on? Inevitably I am going to have the other pic in my mind when I look at yours. Congrats, he looks good. (He looks like a priest with the colouring under his chin!)
