Not expecting a whole lot, but for some reason I love this image. I guess not the best representation of smoke, however, she IS smoking.

took me a double take to match title to the cornerstone, not the woman's dress style

Terrific but needs a less diluted crop.

Awesome shadow! Looks really cool with that red hat.

I can barely see the smoke, I feel this is about the red hat instead of the smoke. As a stand alone image not related to the challenge I think it is great!

Nice Vision. I had to come back to this to comment on the composition. It looks like you used rule of thirds to put her face in the top left third of the shot. In this case, I think a stronger composition would have been to throw rule of thirds out the window and crop off the top and left part of the shot, putting her more to the left edge. This would have left the two elements of the shot (the girl and the year) on opposite sides of the shot, creating a stronger composition.

light is too harsh, smoke is barely visible. wonder why you left the hat red, distracts rather than adds, as does the engraved number

You know, I like everything about this image. The red hat, the shadow, the pose. It all works for me. I suspect though that the voters are giving you a hard time about the lack of in-your-face smoke in this? Still, I overlooked that. 8.

Not seeing any smoke here. I see "a smoke" or more the silhouette of one in her hand, but no "smoke" to play a major role. The red hat and harsh shadows don't help this either. Selective color makes that color the star, so this is nice enough for a hat challenge.

i like the picture alot but it took me a bit to see she was actually holding a smoke. Almost thought it was a shoehorn.. Nice shot though
