I had a completely different idea -- one that I really wanted to do.

Of course I waited until last minute. :(

I wanted to do a shot of a person laying on their back, mouth open, with the smoke from the incense appearing to come out of the mouth. The idea of the escaping of the soul. Black & white, moody, funky. The problem was I needed a person. I was going to rope in one of the kids, but it was getting late, and I was feeling guilty, because I knew it was going to be one of those really long sessions, because I wasn't sure how to do the lighting to get it right.

I decided to be the nice mom. :)

The idea here was supposed to be something nefarious hatching out of the egg. I would have liking to have two glowing eyes appearing in the egg, but that also seemed beyond me with it being so late. (even thinking about it now, it still seems beyond me... :)

Very creative take on the challenge! Nice smoke trails!! Wish there was a tad more detail in the egg since it is such a prominent part of the image.

Cliche with the egg... doesn't seem to fit. Makes me wonder why there is smoke coming out of an egg? Smoke looks good though.
