The overall picture is very well done. Good overall lighting, nice and sharp, great color.
The forehead is about as bright as ou want to go, any lighter and you would be getting burnout. While I like the overall lighting, and the angle of the lighting, The hotspot on the background, combined with the shadow to the left, are distracting and draw the eye away from the subject. I would recommend cropping to exclude the shadowed area, and toning down the light just a bit on the background.
One last tiny nitpick... Perhaps covering more of the hair might be in order. The model just doesn't look like an immigrant. Guess there are too many red heads here alreay. As I said, a very very minor detail as overall this is a very good picture. |

ok. here's the explanation :). i'm showing that everyone, including those of european ancestry, was at one time an immigrant to this country, just as people with more 'ethnic' backgrounds are today.
but for the grace of timing, we were all immigrants and can all be citizens, living together in peace and harmony, whether we came from europe, asia, the middle east, africa, south america, or anywhere else. |

I love the colours here. Not sure about the shadow behind her and some how she doesn't really fit the concept. |

Wonderful choice of colors. Love how the shadow covers one eye. Only thing I don't like, and that is just my personally, is the black shadow at her back. But would be a 9 anyway. ptl |

I love the colors in this photo, as well as what the subject conveys with her body language. |

Good colors, focus and composition. Lower left shadow distracts. |

I will take another look at this photo from another monitor but the focus seems a little on the soft side. When taking pictures of people I tend to zoom in focus on their eye and then zoom out and set my shot. I like the colors and mysterious look of the photo. I think if it were possible, do this same shot in a 7-11 or McDonalds as opposed to a studio. I am assuming that this photo was taken in the U.S. |

Interesting idea, good lighting. The shadow or dark area to the bottom left corner appears distracting. Not bad. |

Wow, I'm confused. She (?) appears to be of northern european extraction, but the garb is more like middle eastern. The blue eye is a dead give away. So, is that the stranger part or were you really going with the title concept? 6 Swash |
