Xion,
I walked in the room when my mom was commenting on this image. I just had to add my own comment. I LOVE THIS SHOT. It made me smile. Is that a tether ball pole? It brings back memories of when I did this with a friend, and she fell off and almost broke her pinky finger. I know that isn't funny, but it was still a good time. It is amazing the things we think of, and how fearless we are when we are young. Thanks for this picture and the bringing back the memory.

Wow! You do a great job of capturing the exuberance of the children in this piece. Great value range and composition. The shadow is masterful!

Pretty cool -- I don't think that's a traditional recreation in California : )

i really like this photograph. very atmospheric, stopped action indeed. also, i think it communicates the emotion of the girl and you can almost hear the boy laughing. well done!

Sharp, wonderful focus. Wish you would have been able to capture where the rope intersects with the pole. Love the tonal range.

I love everything about this shot - the cobblestones, shadow, expressions; the contrast and tone. And it's original.

A ribbon contender. The street play is great. Multiple stops of girl, boy, shadow. Despite only the boy's head in view, I can feel his smile. -9-

Nice candid shot with unusual viewpoint and made all the better for such subtleties as the shadow on the puddle.
Nicely captured.

Flavor of an old time photo. Bumping up to 9 for subject and locale selection.

I like this one and the black and white effect I think adds to it a real nice photo (9)

This is a really evocative image. The black and white works well. I think the contrasting textures work well together. And the composition enhances the sense of action.
