CRITIQUE CLUB REVIEW
Exposure is great and the shadowy lighting adds a touch of drama. Focus is good on the stem and side of the flower but a but soft on the 'middle part' of the flower (in the center between the petals). It might have been stronger had that been the focus target. Bold colors really make the image come alive.
However, I feel that the image is too close to the reflection, making it hard to see what's actually happening there. It is hard to tell what is the flower and what is the reflection. Moving it maybe another inch away (suspend it by fishing line?) might make the difference in terms of making it more visual clean.
Overall a pretty picture :). |

| Meets the song title nicely..like the use of a black background and the single petals...the reflection of the main flower seems too overpowering to me. maybe if taken at a different angle would help? |

Neat picture. I can't honestly say I know what song you are referring to, but I will take your word for it. I really like the two petals pulled free, nice touch! Were I to guess, I don't think this picture would represent the song, but that wasn't the challenge, just it made it worth more points in my mind, you know a package deal.

I really liked this shot for the for the stark contrast between the black and the flower. Beautiful job lighting the flower. It fits the song title well, Great job! 8.

| Love the colors and the idea... I might suggest you have a petal going off the photo to allow the viewer to finish the work in their mind. |
