I kind of went into this challenge not really having a full grasp of what exactly the theme was supposed to be. I thought it was based on any of those images that get passed around by friends like chain-letter email. I actually got an email from a friend during the submission period with a big bunch of different images that depicted sharing, so I decided to go with that in mind.

The original picture is just of the person(me) standing in the water during sunrise. The bird, extended arm/fish, and fishing pole were added in during post.

Yeah this is not a meme.. a fine photo, but not a meme. For those wondering what is a meme Dennisheckman - go to knowyourmeme dot com to find out :) My advice is start with advice animals (socially awkward penguin, philosiraptor, overly attached girlfriend etc). Many hilarious spin-offs from those.

My favorite of the challenge by far. Very clever concept and beautifully executed. Pure poetry. I fully expected it to win, and I really hope you will create more images like that in the future so I can stare at them.

Beautiful shot of a fisherman in the late afternoon soon to be setting daylight hours. Great silhouette of the fisherman and pole against the sky. We can clearly see his hand extended with the fish in a gesture of offering. The stork/crane approaches in flight towards the offer to share. Lovely composition...not sure if it is a widely recognized meme, but well put together and captured.
