What in the world is this doing all the way down here?? This really should have scored higher, it's such a dramatic scene! |

here you go, a perfect end to a perfect day. love the lines and colors, but most of all, love how you balanced the exposure between the reflection and the sky. it's rare when you can get both without having to sacrifice one for the other (or combine multiple images taken with different settings). great job! hope this does well for you. |

Stunning. Absolutely.
I would just leave it without a frame, but it's a meaningless detail. |

Fantastic moody wide angle. The lighting is terrific and the blown out highlights in the sky simply add to the strange atomosphere of this image. Very well done. 9 |

Nice reflection. Would have like the horizon line to be somewhere other than directly center. |

Nice cloud and sunset shot... the texture on the clouds is great. It appears that you wanted to capture the symmetry of the reflection here... either moving the horizon up to the center to enforce the symmetry, or down a bit to get rid of the darker area at the bottom (and bring it down onto a thirds line) might give it a bit more visual appeal. |

This is a nice study but I am not crazy about the slight harshness due to tonal limitation and high contrasts look. I think it is a good photo but my feel is that this image may look better in B/W.
Despite what I said, the image does draw the eyes, but these images are mood related. You will find many folks grouping around one image because it imparts serenity and another group about the more dynamic while others love storm clouds.
The compostion is great. Bumping up to 6 |

The sky is nice in this photo, as is the reflection. Other than that, I can't find a particular focal point. I like good landscapes, but I usually look for a strong focal point within the image... |

Strong points: The scene is excellent with a great range of colors. Taken at a opportune moment. Suggestions for improvement: It's rather centered and would be fine to remove some of the bottom. The heavey 2-toned border could be downsized a bit. |

Very nice atmosphere, great clouds and reflection. I am missing some focal point and find the left edge distracting. It looks like a small boat is coming into the picture at the edge, cropping that away, up to the middle of the first large tree, would have improved the image in my opinion. |

Nice reflections used here, but perhaps not having a halfway horizon would help? |

Ooooh. Ahhhh. Lovely reflections, and what a sky! Very nice composition...I assume this is a sunrise, yes? It seems more subdued than the magnificence of a sunset. Sadly, I'm not "around" for sunrises...I should really start waking up at 4am! Ha! Great shot, thanks! |

Very pleasant and delightful sunset image. The reflection is so lovely, and the use of sillhouette effective. Your composition is also pleasing. It might be fun to experiment to see whether you could get any detail out of some of those shadows. Nice work. 8 |

i shot some skylines like this the other day, and had the same dilemma; go with the angled horizon, or rotate to give the illusion of level ground. I'm sure you've had some comments about it already, which is too bad because your perspective is actually perfect upon close examination. great exposure as well - these will usually get some blown highlights and/or fringing. well done. bumping a point from my original vote. |

This is a little bit over the top for my taste - too much either dodged or blown out in the sky; the separation seems a bit too harsh. |

I do like this shot, but I'm afraid it doesn't really jump out at me. It's a good silhouette shot, nice clear waters etc but it doesn't grab my attention. (Picky bugger I know...) 7 |

Beautiful sky and the reflection is nice. Too bad you couldn't get any of the orange sky in the reflection. Feels like it could have been cropped a bit tighter on the left side and taken out a couple of distractions. |

Great sunrise/sunset photo. Love the patterns created by the clouds. Cropping could use a bit of work on the left side as I see what appears to be a boat. 8 |

The white areas look a little over exposed to me. I think you should have underexposed this shot, and then dodged and burned it to a good exposure. This would make it more dramatic I think. Also, I would have liked to see some kind of subject in the right hand side of the frame as it looks a bit empty as it is. I know you can't change the landscape, but it's just what I feel :) 6. |

I want to like this photograph.. it's got a really nice compositional feel. However, the sunset just isn't exciting enough to really sell the reflection and silhouette to me, and the overall feel is just too dark. Perhaps it was intentional, I don't know, but I know that it doesn't work for my tastes. Just trying to be honest. |
