I couldn't take the shot I kept thinking about shooting. I was in MN for 2 weeks while my mother was fading from this life. I couldn't document it. I didn't have my camera, and I kept wondering if I did, whether I could or would have done something with it.

This was shot when I finally had to borrow a point and shoot from my brother and take a brain break. I went to the MN zoo, and came across the Russian bear exhibit. For some reason, perhaps it was just my state of mind, or the snag of a tree, it all seemed so desolate to me when I thought about it in b&w.
