You took it at an angle and thus got all the shadows and texture.
Would it have been too flat if you'd taken it 'head on?' |

Love the photograph. Nice detail here.
A vast amount of red in the photograph with small areas of other color (works very well).
Love how the door is slightly open... makes me want to explore!
